Kronos is the youngest Titan, son of Gaia, the Earth, and Ouranos, the Sky. As he has overthrown his father, Kronos destiny is to be overcome by one of his descendants. To preempt the prophecy, he devours all his children as soon as they are born. Kronos was repeatedly conflated with Chronos, the personification of Time.
