Νýξ



Nyx is the primordial goddess of the night. In Hesiod's Theogony, Nyx is born of Chaos. With Erebos, Nyx gives birth to Hemera (Day). Later, on her own, Nyx gives birth to the twins Hypnos (Sleep) and Thanatos (Death).

Nyx est la déesse de la nuit. Dans la Théogonie d’Hésiode, elle est née de Chaos. Avec Erebos, Nyx donne naissance à Héméra (Jour). Plus tard, et par elle-même, Nyx donne naissance aux jumeaux Hypnos (Sommeil) et Thanatos (Mort).
